Leah
| Leah is a certified hearing dog who helps her owner, Anne Proffit, a professional photojournalist. Anne lost her hearing as a child, and when her significant other died ten years ago, realized she was missing phone calls, knocks at the door, timers and alarm clocks - not to mention people calling her name. With Leah, she has the ability to "hear" all of those things and to take her work on the road. Anne and Leah can be seen at most professional auto races in the USA - NHRA, American Le Mans Series, NASCAR, IRL, and many, many more. Leah wears her Mutt Muffs so that she doesn't lose her certification by losing her hearing, too. She has interested many other race-going fans in Mutt Muffs. |
