Maisy, Banjo, Blaze and Moriah

As told by Rhonda with  CARE

Little puppy, Moriah, was discarded on the side of the road.  A good samaritan saw her and picked her up and called us for help.  We immediately took her in.

Maisy and her pups, Banjo, and Blaze were at a high kill shelter knocking on death's door.   We pulled this family to safety and placed in foster care.

Flying down to see Rhonda and transport her precious rescues is practically a regularly scheduled flight for us.

Today we traced that route again for four adorable fur balls.

Karen and the new mom Maisy.

Maisy and her little ones were very close to being put down.   Such a tragic waste that would have been.

She's an extraordinary dog and her puppies are too cute for words

It's such a good thing we know these cuties have good homes waiting for them.   If not, I'd be in zoning trouble for taking them all home with me.

Susan and Michele holding Maisy's puppies Banjo and Blaze.  The little black beauty is Moriah, who had been put out of a car on the side of the road.   Unbelievable.

We had a surprisingly smooth flight up the Appalachians, only encountering turbulence when we were making our final descent.

Safely back at KDMW, Co-pilot John poses with Moriah and Maisy.

2nd leg pilot Jack was already there waiting on us.   After a short layover for puppy potty breaks, we loaded Jack's plane with the four travelers, and Jack took off for Philadelphia.

We wish a very short wait for these guys before they find just the perfect families to call their own.
